Description
AFAIK, Currently a build can only be done when the edgewall.org webserver is available, since it is referenced in the namespace like xmlns:sh="http://bitten.edgewall.org/tools/sh"
Whatever Bitten gets at that URL, I'd like to host it myself, so I gain independence from the availabilty of edgewall.org. One scenario that makes it impossible to build, even if the edgewall.org site is up, is when using Bittin on a isolated intranet, or with custom restrictive DNS.

My bad. I was caught in the confusion mentioned here. I suppose it's just a practice then, but still a very confusing one, especially when the documentation on this site contains references to deprecated namespace URIs (cmlenz) that cause admin messages when used in a script. I hope that other confused people may find this ticket and be enlightened, yet still confused.

This is not the case. XML namespaces are URI (identifiers) not URLs (locators). There is no need for even validating XML parsers to access http://bitten.edgewall.org/.
