Unhandled exception after changing earliest revision

Description

After increasing earliest revision, I observed an unhandled exception in the master. This cause the master to fail to acknowledge acceptance of build results from the slave, and the slave was stuck waiting.

Potential fix will be posted shortly.

Partly duplicate of #127 (rev -> build.rev has been fixed for a long time), and partly duplicate of #212 and #391 (platform no longer exists and hence is None). I'll keep newer tickets.
